Trinity International University Achieves National Recognition Among America's Best Colleges

Trinity International University achieved recognition by both U.S.News & World Report and The Princeton Review as one of America’s best colleges.

Trinity International University earned a ranking among Best National Universities in the 2008 edition of “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S.News & World Report. Trinity joins a prestigious list of similarly ranked schools, including Seton Hall, DePaul, Temple, and Rutgers. Trinity is one of six schools on the Best National Universities list that is a member of the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities. The exclusive rankings were published in the magazine’s August 27 issue and are available online at www.usnews.com/colleges.

“This ranking recognizes the consistent growth of Trinity as a national university,” according to Interim President Jeanette Hsieh. “While it highlights our academic excellence, Trinity’s value to students as an educational institution goes far beyond these numbers. The full strength of Trinity is seen in the depth and quality of our students, the passion and expertise of our faculty, and the world impact of our alumni.”

The annual U.S.News & World Report rankings represent the most comprehensive look at how schools stack up based on a set of 15 widely accepted indicators of excellence. The rankings help families evaluate and compare data compiled from more than 1,400 accredited four-year schools. Trinity International University is one of 55 schools that are ranked for the first time, based on changes in the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching’s classifications, which serve as the foundation for the rankings. Previously Trinity was classified as an institution in a category that was not included in these rankings.

In addition, The Princeton Review once again named Trinity International University a Best Midwestern College, recognizing Trinity as an institution that stands out among its peers. This year The Princeton Review also named Trinity as one of America's Best Value Colleges, one of the best overall bargains—based on cost and financial aid—among the most academically outstanding colleges in the nation.

“We understand the financial challenges families face when making college decisions,” notes Dr. Hsieh. “We strive to provide an academically rigorous education in a spiritually dynamic atmosphere at an economically affordable price.”

The Princeton Review rankings are based on an 80-question survey completed during the last three school years by 120,000 college students about their school's academics, administration, campus life, student body, and themselves.
