We are delighted to offer a number of exciting opportunities for theological education for pastors and church leaders on a graduate level.

Considering further theological education for you or your staff?

As a pastor or servant leader, you are well acquainted with the joys and challenges of ministry. Although educational retreats and sabbaticals are still useful tools, it is increasingly possible to pursue further theological education that will deepen Biblical knowledge and expand ministry skills while remaining engaged in your ministry and context.

Explore flexible degree options

Trinity recognizes that training needs vary widely, and that relocating to the Deerfield, Illinois campus can be difficult or undesirable. As we engage with present and future realities, our degrees are becoming more flexible, allowing you to complete degrees through a widening variety of educational options through Trinity course work.

Trinity Evangelical Divinity School has developed the MA in Christian Studies (MA/CS), the MA in Ministry and MA in Intercultural Studies with these realities in mind. You may complete any of these degrees through various combinations of Distance Education (online) courses, Deerfield summer intensives, and Extension site courses.

What is Distance Education?

Trinity Evangelical Divinity School offers over 30 online courses representing six disciplines. Courses can be started any day of the year but must be completed within a 6 month timeframe (9 months are allowed for overseas students). Courses can be taken from nearly anywhere in the world.

Part-time students, visiting students and extension students can take advantage of significantly reduced tuition costs (approximately 50% off the full-time campus rate).

Tap into the original language with Beginning Greek I and Beginning Greek II. Featuring lectures produced by William Mounce, you will move through 35 lessons, enabling you to access invaluable commentaries and the Greek New Testament itself.

DE Groups


Register together and save! A group consists of members of a small group in your church, friends from several churches, a leadership board, missions team, or any composition helpful to your life and mission.

This new approach to study enhances learning by adding a dynamic of group accountability and mutual encouragement.  Your group has the advantage of being able to encounter and discuss your course in depth and in context.

When a group of eight (8) or more students register together, each will receive a 10% rebate off a paid, completed course.
