Class Preparation

Many summer courses and all courses meeting as one- or two-week short-term modulars require advanced preparation prior to the first class meeting. Subsequent to enrollment, registrants should immediately secure their syllabus online. Syllabus access information is the student's GroupWise login, which they receive at the time of admission. Syllabi are available approximately thirty days before the first class meeting.

Registration Changes

Courses may be added through the first day of the class. Courses may be dropped without record through the first day of class. After the first day, courses may not be added, and courses which are dropped will receive a grade of "W" during the first 50 percent of class meetings, and "F" thereafter.

Payment Policies

Payment in full is due on or before the first day of the class. You will be dropped from your course if payment is not made by the due date. (In the fall and spring semesters lack of payment does not cancel registration). Payments are made on a course-by-course basis; therefore, an extended payment plan is not available for the Summer Session. If you will not be able to attend, you should drop the class before the class start date. Internships, guided research, and independent studies must be paid in full no later than June 27. Please contact the Student Accounting Office for any questions at 847.317.8080 or tedsstuacct@tiu.edu

There is no refund for courses dropped after the second day of the class.

Insurance

Trinity offers coverage for students needing health insurance. Please contact Human Resources at 847.317.7138 for a brochure detailing the coverage and cost.

Note: International students are required to have insurance for themselves and their families.

Housing

A limited number of dormitory-style rooms are available on campus during each Summer School session. Rooms include bed, chair, desk, dresser, and bookshelf. The Housing Office is unable to provide housing for families and married students during Summer School as these apartments are unavailable. If you are interested in a dormitory-style room, please contact the Housing Office after April 4 to submit a request: Trinity Housing Office, 2065 Half Day Road, Deerfield, IL 60015 (phone: 847.317.7152; fax: 847.317.8148; housing@tiu.edu).
